Our new Pet Sympathy card

Our pets are family. They are sweet and silly and boundlessly fun and loving. Perhaps best of all, they have an amazing ability to see past all the flaws we see in our own mental mirrors. Yet our pets truly, deeply love us without conditions, without boundaries. And when they pass after their too short lives, their loss hits many of us as deeply as the loss of close human family members…sometimes even more so.

When I created this recent pet sympathy greeting card, I thought that the missing paw print cut from the card captured the sense of paws missing at our feet or curled besides us. And the gold heart…well a heart of pure gold is a natural metaphor for the love many precious pets offer us.
